Ola Electric is under examination after the Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA) requested a probe into more than 10,000 consumer complaints concerning its scooters. The investigation, which is brought on by unresolved complaints, attempts to evaluate the company's assertions about the shortcomings of its goods and services.
The National Consumer Helpline received a spike in complaints between September 2023 and August 2024, which prompted the investigation, which was started on November 6. The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) has been assigned the responsibility of confirming Ola Electric's grievance resolution claims, according to Consumer Affairs Secretary Nidhi Khare.
The BIS must submit a report within 15 days. This investigation presents a big obstacle for the business, which has seen an increase in customer and regulatory worries over its electric scooters.
